About Me - Xzander Hope
Hi, I’m Xzander Hope, a 17-year-old baseball enthusiast from beautiful British Columbia, Canada. I play first base and third base, and I’m passionate about the game both on and off the field. I’ve been fortunate enough to receive some incredible recognition for my efforts, including being named the Best Umpire for all of BC in 2023—a moment I’m really proud of!
My journey in baseball has been thrilling, and I've had the honour of being a two-time MVP at the provincial 18U AAA level, one for my pitching and another for my hitting—did I mention I hit a 2-RBI walk-off home run? That was a game I'll never forget!
Currently, I’m uncommitted to any college and will be graduating in 2027. In preparation for the upcoming season, I'm focused on off-season training with Liam Goodall, the head coach of the Vancouver Island Mariners. Additionally, I’m participating in individual training sessions at Caged Athletics, focusing on sprint training, fielding, and hitting to sharpen my skills.
Beyond my achievements in baseball, I maintain a strong GPA of 3.95, and I believe that academic excellence is just as important as athletic prowess. I strive to balance my studies with my love for the game, always pushing myself to grow and improve.
As a cleanup hitter, I aim to bring my best to every game, consistently hitting at 91 mph. I love supporting my team and lifting up those around me, especially younger players in the community, and I enjoy giving back whenever I can.
I’m excited for what the future holds, and I’m determined to pursue my dreams in baseball while continuing to excel in my studies.
